You can embed the audio player for your episode in any content management system, blogging platform that supports adding HTML tags or the oEmbed protocol.

Using HTML

You’ll find the HTML code for an episode’s player in your Podiant dashboard. Click Episodes, then select the episode you’d like to embed.

Click the Share tab and look for the row of text headed Embed. Click the line of code that starts with `<iframe`…, and it will be copied into your clipboard. You can then paste it wherever you’d like to embed the player.

If you’re using WordPress or another content management system with a WYSIWYG editor (where you enter rich text instead of code), you may need to switch to “source mode” or “text view”, which will allow you to enter HTML code.

Using oEmbed

If you don’t know what oEmbed is or your CMS doesn’t support it, you should be able to use the option above, but if your’e familiar with oEmbed, you’ll know it’s a handy shortcut for embedding rich content like YouTube videos, tweets and of course, episodes of your Podiant podcast.

oEmbed works by taking a URL to a piece of content, and turning that into an embeddable player. As with the example above, you’ll find the URL you need in your Podiant dashboard.

Head to Episodes and select the episode you want to embed. Click the Share tab and look for the row headed Episode URL. Click the URL and it’ll be copied into your cclipboard.

In your CMS, paste the URL to your episode where you’d like it to appear. Remember to paste it in plain text, so that your editor doesn’t convert it to a link. If it appears like a link - typically blue and underlined - remove it, and try pasting it again by pressing Ctrl+Shift+V in Windows, or Shift+Option+Cmd+V on a Mac.
